THERAPEUTIC FOREST SCHOOL

Therapeutic Forest School programmes are led by an experienced Forest School Leader with Therapeutic Skills training Forest School Leader or Certified Outdoor Mental Health Practitioner and are designed for the inclusion of children and young people with a wide range of needs. All our Alternative Provision programmes are also delivered under the supervision of our Certified Outdoor Mental Health Practitioner – Rach.

A member of the Therapy Adventure Outdoor Therapy Clinical Supervision Group – Rach has access to a therapeutic multi-disciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Counsellors, and Outdoor Mental Health Practitioners, enabling opportunities to draw on for support, insights and reflection for all our young people accessing our Therapeutic programmes.

Our Therapeutic sessions are child-centred, meeting their needs and supporting their interests through learner-led exploration, investigation and challenge. As sessions develop, a sense of community is nurtured where children and young people feel valued and respected.
